چکیده
Objectives: Compare total tumor volume (TTV) response after systemic treatment to Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors (RECIST1.1) and assess the prognostic value of TTV change RECIST1.1 for recurrence-free survival (RFS) patients with colorectal liver-only metastases (CRLM). Background: provides unidimensional criteria evaluate therapy. Those are accepted worldwide but limited by interobserver variability ignore potentially valuable information about TTV. Methods: Patients initially unresectable CRLM receiving from randomized, controlled CAIRO5 trial (NCT02162563) were included. was assessed using software specifically developed together SAS analytics. Baseline follow-up computed tomography (CT) scans used calculate Different thresholds (10%, 20%, 40%) define as no standard currently exists. RFS a subgroup secondarily resectable induction treatment. Results: A 420 CT comprising 7820 210 evaluated. In 30% 50% (depending on chosen threshold) patients, discordance observed between change. decrease >40% 47 (22%) who had stable disease according RECIST1.1. 118 CRLM, shorter less than 10% compared more (P = 0.015), while not 0.821). Conclusions: assessment shows potential evaluation therapy CRLM.

Prognostic and predictive value of liver volume in colorectal cancer patients with unresectable liver metastases
PURPOSE To determine the prognostic and predictive value of liver volume in colorectal cancer patients with unresectable liver metastases. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixteen patients received whole liver radiotherapy (WLRT) between January 1997 and June 2013. A total dose of 21 Gy was delivered in 7 fractions. RESULTS The median survival time after WLRT was 9 weeks. In univariate analysis, perfo...

Although the frontiers of liver resection for colorectal liver metastases have broadened in recent decades, approximately 75% of these patients present with unresectable metastases at the time of their diagnosis. In the past, these patients underwent only palliative treatment, without the chance of a cure. In the previous two decades, several therapeutic strategies have been developed that rend...
متن کاملPrediction of survival in patients with unresectable colorectal liver metastases.
UNLABELLED Liver metastases are diagnosed synchronously with the primary tumour in 25% of patients with colorectal cancer. A half of the remaining patients develop liver metastases within 3 years following colectomy. At present, the only radical treatment of metastases is liver resection. Only 2.6% of patients survive 3 years if such treatment is not implemented. The aim of the study was to ass...

Background: To retrospectively describe imaging characteristics of liver metastases on fused FDG-PET/ MRI data sets and to compare the diagnostic accuracy of MRI and fused FDG-PET/MRI data sets for the detection of liver metastases in patients undergoing systemic anticancer treatment. Materials and Methods: 43 oncological patients (mean age: 56+/- 11 years) were investigated by FDG-PET...
